On the morning of October 2, 2025 in Port Charlotte, Florida, deputies responded to a call of a hit-and-run. An Acura RDX had rear ended a Nissan Rogue in a turning lane and fled. The victim said the suspect had been aggressively following her for miles. When she entered a turn lane off of El Jobean Road and braked, the suspect rear ended her. A third-party witness later said she saw the Acura back up and accelerate, hitting a curb and a passing semi-truck. As officers continued to collect information from the victim, a gate guard at a nearby golf course called 911 after helping a woman in an Acura remove a damaged piece from her vehicle. He became suspicious after seeing blue paint transfer on the white vehicle, and wanted to report the woman. He said the Acura was driving away on Riverwood Drive and heading toward El Jobean Road. The officers were nearby and spotted the Acura as it turned at the intersection. They got in their patrol vehicle and sped after her. When they caught up, the woman said she left the scene because she had been in fear for her life. 0:00 Intro 0:19 The High-Speed Hit-and-Run 1:10 Chasing Down the Suspect 3:28 The "Innocent" Act Begins 4:42 No-Nonsense Officer Arrives 6:14 Reality Hits 10:41 Charges Files and Final Outcome 10:56 The M1 Tank She was charged with Leaving the Scene of a Crash with Property Damange (Florida Statute § 316.061(1)).
