Between rough games, sequencing mistakes, clock management nightmares, and the news that Ascended Heroes is no longer legal for Seattle, this cup turned into a real test of patience, adaptation, and mental stamina. This was my first real Best-of-3 regional-style cup experience, and it showed misplays, tempo issues, and all. From Gardevoir and Joltik to Dragapult, Greninja/Pidgeot, and Ceruledge, every round had something to teach, even when it didn’t feel like it in the moment. There was also the very funny realization that I wasn’t actually done playing when I thought I was, plus some unexpected Table 1 spectating with Grimmothy vs THE Judge. It wasn’t clean.
