For anyone that hasn’t heard of wireless MIDI yet, here you go. I am going over a few simple applications together with the CME WIDI Uhost, which is the USB device part of the CME guys' universe of wireless MIDI solutions. You also have WIDI Master, WIDI Bud pro, WIDI Jack, and more NOT featured here. I am instead looking initially for the degree of ease when it comes to connectivity. I hate to invest in stuff that just goes right into the bottom drawer to never see the light of day again because it was too much work either setting up or keep connecting. I want none of that. I am looking at the Uhost from the perspective of a MIDI Guitarist that has way too many controllers that I never use because they all need some special attention. The LIVID guitar wing for instance; a great controller but becoming more of a nuisance as time goes since it needs its proprietary software to even function (not only being restricted to just setting up assignments for instance). The Expressive Touché SE suffers a little from the same kind of impracticality. But if I can use EVERY controller with a USB connection or its own Bluetooth protocol I have, with this Uhost, I am truly a happy man. Well, am I? Look at the video, and let's take every and all remaining questions in the comments below.
