Created by Oknice Art, this beautiful calm composition depicts a once-grand bathhouse in a state of dilapidation as the ornate tradition of Neo-Classicism makes its masterful mark towards reminiscent ruin. . Although once so grand, nature always makes its reclamation. We seem to be floating in the midst of a once-so beautiful bathhouse. This initial impression inspires awe through such ornate grandeur. Our perspective appears to be sitting within the pool itself. We look back towards the entrance as various blooms keep us in constant company. Notice how the colors in this composition consist of blue, green, and pink. This is no doubt a rather calm palette as a lower-saturated scheme feels quite tranquil. We see a sense of texture conveyed everywhere from the water to the vines and the stones themselves. Such a sight is of high realism, and feels so convincing. Notice how the light in this piece appears to be sourced from both the oculus above and the distant archway beyond. Thus part of the space we inhabit is darker, as one may wonder what lies beyond. Despite its once glory, it appears as if this space is now overgrown in dilapidation. Nature has reclaimed what once belonged to man, but now is aging towards reminiscent ruin.
