Ingress is essential for defining fine-grained access rules, enabling external users to reach your applications while maintaining robust security and performance. Given its central role in application accessibility and security, optimizing Ingress is vital for any scalable, secure Kubernetes deployment. The session will begin with an overview of the Kubernetes Ingress concept, its importance, and the challenges it presents in multi-tenant and large-scale deployments. From there, we will explore how Cilium’s Ingress addresses these challenges by utilizing its advanced eBPF-powered data path.
