Iceland Day 10 pt 4: Hellissandi Nat'l Park to Malarrif Visitor's Center

In this portion of Day 4, we leave the north coast of the Snæfellsnes peninsula and travel down the tip to Saxhóll Crater. We had intended to climb this "accessible" promontory, but decided it was not actually that accessible. Or at least not "accessible enough" for the viewing conditions. After Saxhóll, we head to Djúpalónssandur beach, where the wreckage of a boat from 1948 can still be seen. From there we stopped at the Visitor Center at Malarrif, which turned out to have a very lovely museum as well as a cool lighthouse.
