I heard a beautiful rendition of this song while watching The Voice last night, and it made me go back and listen to Ray Lamontagne’s amazing breakout album. I thought this would be a fun tune to try! Since the bass guitar is the standout instrument in the original recording, I thought I’d play that part in the intro, and then I’d try to keep the rest of the guitar parts out of the way of the uniquely soulful vocal melody composed by Ray LaMontagne (or at least my attempt at that melody…) I hope you like my humble cover of one of my favorite songs of the 2000s.
