Each beat is played 4 times at a slow tempo so you can get comfortable with the feel, then 4 times at a faster tempo to build confidence and fluency. Full sheet music notation is displayed throughout the video. Understanding 7/8 Time: 7/8 is typically counted as groups of 2s and 3s. The most common groupings are 2+2+3 or 3+2+2, which gives the rhythm a unique, slightly off-balance feel. Once you internalize these groupings, 7/8 becomes much easier to navigate.
