Sky News crime correspondent Martin Brunt speaks to Kevin O’Sullivan about the investigation into the disappearance of Madeleine McCann. In the last 13 years since Madeleine went missing, Martin says detectives have seemingly failed to come up with any corroborated evidence of what happened. “For all the people I have interviewed, including family and officials, police officers, secret police sources…I know a lot about the investigation but I know nothing about what happened to her.” Martin told talkRADIO that German authorities may have repeatedly ignored prior warnings about their current suspect in the ‘abduction’ as far back as 2013. He said he was investigating suspicions around the suspect a year ago “for one reason or another we didn’t run the story, that’s more to do with legal considerations…he came to notice of the German police in 2013 and there is speculation he was known to Portuguese police in the very early days of the investigation”.
