The Melbourne-based hard rock band Hot Machine is comprised of: Sammy O'Keefe (vocals), Sarsha Marsden (guitar), Jess Turner “JT” (guitar), Brittany Britten (bass), and Jess Maio (drums). The band formed in 2023 and has had a meteoric rise due to their exciting live shows, culminating in the release of a 2024 EP titled Leather and Steel, which features fierce rock ’n’ roll tracks such as She’s On The Money, Red Hot Summer, Bad Hand and Fuel To The Fire. The band’s reputation for well rehearsed, high energy shows has also led to a tour of Japan supporting Guitar Wolf and Australian supports for Rose Tattoo, Wolfmother, plus an upcoming tour in September with Cherie Currie, former lead singer of one of Hot Machine’s most influential bands The Runaways. Hot Machine is currently writing and recording their debut album. Hot Machine recently featured at a special event for Fender guitars, Mod Shop: Modified in Melbourne, a one-night-only VIP showcase event at the fabulous SA1NT facility in Fitzroy, a warehouse which is part motorcycle repair/sales shop, clothing brand and even gymnasium, the kind of cool place you’d only find in Fitzroy. The evening featured a Modified Live exhibit featuring on-site guitar works with famed industry techs Michael Harron (Harron Custom Guitars) and Warwicke Newman (Tone Revival Engineering), and a VIP cocktail event, featuring live music from Hot Machine Australian Musician editor Greg Phillips caught up with Sammy, Sarsha “JT”, Brittany and Jess from Hot Machine at the Fender event for a chat about the band’s career and gear. #australianmusician #hotmachine
