Pan of Iraqi opposition members talking STORYLINE: A top Iraqi opposition leader said on Thursday the opposition had 120-thousand fighters available for the struggle to overthrow the Iraqi regime. PUK (Patriotic Union of Kurdistan) leader Jalal Talabani was speaking in London at a reception for members of various Iraqi opposition movements He also said he thought the Bush administration in the United States was serious about an attack on Iraq. The PUK jointly controls northern Iraq with the Kurdish Democratic Party (KDP). KDP deputy leader Sami Abdul Rahman was also at Thursday's gathering. Talabani said that between the KDP and the PUK, and other opposition factions, there were 120 thousand well-trained fighters who would be able to, in his words, 'liberate' the country.
