Levelling up: from Chatbots to Custom AI with RAG and Local LLMs

How I am levelling up my usage of AI. I started out using chatbots, to which I've added AI assisted coding. I then got into prompt engineering and that has brought me into building vector databases from my own sources and using local LLMs running on Ollama to query them - effectively building a custom AI chatbot, or "RAG" (Retrieval-Augmented Generation). In this video, I share some of my recent experience in learning to make better use of AI, my thoughts on privacy, running LLMs locally even on my Raspberry Pi based K8s cluster, and a couple of notes about the emotional impact of AI on software professionals.
