Now this is a really interesting unit! The German Red Cross owns this new infectious ambulance based on a Mercedes Unimog. More details below 🔽 This rig belongs to the disaster relief division of the German Red Cross headquarters in Berlin. I assume that it primarily responds to major incidents and disasters across the country (and possibly internationally) such as floods. The entire amber-blue light setup is from Whelen and features: a Whelen Freedom lightbar with color filters for the edges, 2 additional short blue modules, 2 additional regular blue modules, 4 additional amber modules as well as takedowns and alley lights a total of 8 ION-T, 4 blue, 4 amber – possibly DUO’s 2 WSSC siren speakers for PA announcements Blue and amber can be controlled independently.
