One thing I forgot to mention in the video is why I am using a separate power supply for the amplifier and the ultrasonic generator. When they both were on the same power supply the amplifier would always go into protection mode, separate power supplies solved this. Just an FYI, using the Kemo or arbitrary wave form generator with an amplifier for an extended on period it will overheat the tweeter voice coil. If your wanting to run for long periods your best bet would just run a high sensitivity tweeter and the Kemo unit. see my other video on some tweeter comparisons. some tweeter comparisons using the Kemo unit by it's self • Tweeter tests using the Kemo Ultrasonic ge... I added a Time out timer to the big unit • Adding a time out timer to the ultrasonic ... Just an FYI I had my first issue with the amplified unit since I put it all together several months ago. I noticed on the power supply that supplies power to the amplifier the amp draw was way down; it normally draws around 8-10Amps and saw it was down to 4Amps. My first thought I lost one of the 2 speakers but once I confirmed both were still working, I then started looking at the amplifier and confirmed it was working normal. As it turns out it was the time delay relay that I use to have it power up silently, it was the contacts on the relay giving intermittent connection. Since I am using that on the output side of the amplifier and pushing around 80watts it’s probably drawing a small arc every its switched and over time the contacts become pitted and make poor contact, just replaced the time delay relay board with a new one and problem solved.
