We're back with Season 7! Bernadette Thompson from Tell Me Our Story joined us to share her knowledge and experience about how ancestral stories can bring meaning and healing to our lives. Bernadette O'Brien Thompson is the Owner of Tell Me Our Story, Genealogy & Ancestral Healing. She is a highly experienced genealogist with a specialization in ancestral trauma and the importance of healing. With 15 years of expertise in this field, Bernadette has dedicated her career to assisting clients in understanding how ancestral trauma is inherited. She holds a degree in Psychology and has had extensive training and education in the effects of Trauma and Trauma response in her experience in supporting students and families who have experienced significant trauma. Her experience led her to understand the complicated emotions that come when helping families discover their Ancestry. It also gives her a unique focus when she researches a family, uncovering for them the triumphs but also the trauma their ancestors experienced, and what may have passed down to their generation. It is the beginning of the Ancestral Healing process and it can bring peace and forgiveness along with the knowledge that we also carry the Blessings of our Ancestors as well.
