FEBRUARY 2025 BANLIST REACTION! Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Links! WORST BANLIST EVER? HERO NOT HIT HARD ENOUGH?

In this video, we are taking a look at the February 2025 banlist for YuGiOh Duel Links. For those that do not know, we are currently in a "two deck format" with the tier one decks of choice being Dragonic Contact HERO along with Soulburning Link Salamangreat. Those two decks have such an overwhelming force on the metagame that other decks literally struggle to see the light of day. Now, that being said, were those decks hit hard enough? Watch the video to find out! Put simply, HERO and Salamangreat were not hit nearly as hard as I'd have liked. I mean yeah, they got hits, but it wasn't enough. Putting Salamangreat Fowl to limit one so you can't blank your opponent's backrow is fine, that was expected. As for HERO, the only thing that deck lost was one copy of Stratos along with Necro Gardna, but that doesn't really make a difference. They just play more E Emergency Call and the deck is more or less the same. The other problem is that the Dragonic Contact skill (and by extension Soulburning Link skill) were both not addressed. This ultimately means the format going into March 2025 will be pretty much the same, unenjoyable format that we've been stuck with unless we get some appealing box later down the line. Overall, I'm not happy about the February 2025 banlist, as it was quite disappointing and quite bad. Ultimately, HERO was not hit hard enough, Dragonic Contact and Soulburning Link were both not addressed, Salamangreat Fowl taken out with the limit one, and some random, powercrept decks that do nothing are buffed. Overall, the banlist gets a 6 out of 10 from me, slightly above average.
