In September 2006, I had the privilege of capturing this legendary Gospel Singing on the Spot moment featuring Zie’l, the powerhouse gospel group from Shreveport, Louisiana! 🎤✨ At the time, I was living in Lake Charles, LA, and had interviewed Zie’l for my blog. But I wanted more—I wanted to put them on the spot to sing! Initially, Keyondra Lockett told me that harmonizing over the phone wouldn’t work since they didn’t all live together. But when I found out we’d all be at an event in Lafayette, LA, I knew we had to make this happen! I invested over $240 in a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W50 (which was a lot for me at the time!) to capture this unforgettable moment on video. Originally uploaded to Myspace and later to a new platform called YouTube, this video has been a fan favorite for nearly 19 years!
