Sinelas.atbp was founded in August 2025 by Amelita Revilla with a simple goal in mind. She wanted to start a small business of her own and what began as a personal dream slowly grew into something bigger after she met people who opened doors to opportunities that helped shape the brand into what it is today. What started as a small idea almost feels like a happy coincidence—or perhaps even a small miracle. Part of the inspiration behind the brand comes from the culture and craftsmanship of Lake Sebu in South Cotabato. This is home to the T'boli people, who are known for their colorful traditions, detailed crafts, and strong connection to their culture. One of their most famous creations is the T’nalak cloth. It is woven from abaca fibers by women called Dreamweavers. Tradition says that the designs of the cloth come to the weavers in dreams guided by Fu Dalu, the spirit of dreams. Each T’nalak cloth is unique. No two pieces are the same. Each one reflects the creativity, stories, and environment of the T’boli people. Sinelas.atbp is inspired by this spirit of artistry. The brand wants to bring a touch of Filipino culture into modern footwear. In today’s fast-moving world, it offers footwear that is simple, meaningful, and comfortable while still honoring the richness of Filipino culture. Living in an archipelago like the Philippines, travel is a big part of life. As more people explore different places, they look for products that match their style while offering comfort and quality. Local travel also encourages supporting local products. Many travelers now value items that carry a sense of place and story. Sinelas.atbp wants to be part of that experience. The brand creates footwear that blends comfort, culture, and everyday style. It also focuses on sustainability. More people today care about how products are made. The brand supports responsible and sustainable production whenever possible. In late 2025, we began working with Mr. Jared Servano, a titan of Mindanaoan design. A first runner-up on Project Runway Philippines and a representative of Filipino talent at the International Fashion Showcase in London, Jared brings a level of revolutionary expertise that ensures our products are not just "local," but world-class. To complement our footwear, we are launching our "At Iba Pa" line in collaboration with Ms. Sofia Jude, the visionary behind the brand ANORE. Sofia is an award-winning designer known for her victories at the Econest Design Competition and her status as a finalist in the HIBLA National Competition. As we work together we are expanding our reach into Ready-to-Wear products, such as bags, utilizing her signature aesthetic of ethnographic textiles and elongated patterns. Sinelas.atbp is more than just a footwear. It also supports the artisan katutubo communities of Lake Sebu. By preserving their “dreamweaving” traditions, improving their livelihoods. And lastly, Sinelas.atbp promotes “Slow Fashion”. By advocating for slow, handmade and sustainable fashion, helps keep traditional method alive.
