June 2nd 2002 finally saw the release of Shantae for the Game Boy Colour. Only released in North America, the game is not only famous for being the first in WayForward's now beloved series, but also being one of the most expensive games in the Game Boy library. How does it hold up? Let's find out! This is the 11th episode of Chromatographic, the series looking to highlight the highs and lows of the Game Boy Color library, playing the hits and the misses so you don't have to! Thank you all for sticking with me so long and to everyone who's supported this channel. It really means a lot! All footage is used in fair use to give a cultural perspective of the character and context for this game's release. All footage is owned by it's respective copyright holders, and was not created by myself. I do not own Back to The Future, Say Anything or any of the ads / footage contained in this video. Information about this game's development either comes from Matt Bozon directly or can be heard in these places: Podcasts - https://retronauts.com/article/760/ep... http://tinycartridge.com/post/9732324... Once again, a huge thank you to all at WayForward for their continued support with this series. Thanks for answering the questions of an excitable Welshman!
