Automated labeling and palletizing FANUC Authorized Integrator Sen-Pack has created an automated pail depalletizer utilizing FANUC 3D iRvision for identification of pail locations. 3D cameras take a single layer image to locate all pail positions. Location data is then transferred to the robot which retrieves the pails and places them onto a conveyor. The FANUC 3D iRVision can detect full or partial partial layers, and the pail height can be determined at the first pick. Once picked, the pail is placed in front of a sensor to identify the graphic bar code and ensure the pail handle is not an obstruction (Pass / Fail). Handle obstruction or no bar code are fails which are rejected off the line by the conveyor system. If Passed, pail passes by a labeler where a label is applied over the bar code.
