Sandsend Court an esoteric walk in a historical Area of Sandsend near Whitby

Taking you to places you'll probably never walk... Always been fascinated by the former Sandsend Hotel building Near Whitby. Its Arts and Craft design is quite stunning when you stand back and study its detail - beautiful! In this video we touch on its history and its connection to the Whitby Loftus Railway that used to run along an embankment at its rear. We look at the Ghost signs painted to attract railway passenger attention and investigate the anomaly of the missing Hotel Garage! We stop by at the cottage of 'Romany of the BBC' and note the details of the plaque and book, 'Out with Romany by the Sea', written here and note the cultural impact of the author the Rev. George Bramwell Evens. We highlight how North Riding Buses are faster than a speeding Rocket (you'll have to be there) before finishing back at Sandsend Court.
