He has been innovating and creating magic his entire life. He has created some of the most well known and respected products ever released to the magic community. His trick CardToon is widely acknowledged as the best selling magic trick of all time. Dan Harlan hasn't slowed down his entire career. For the last few years he has been working alongside Penguin Magic. While there he spent 5 years committing the Tarbell Series of books to video and 500 + hours of video later he completed the whole thing. He has also recently fooled Penn and Teller with a trick they already knew! In this interview Dan talks about his career in magic. He talks about turning professional, performing on stage, finding your character and trick selection. Along the way he talks about creativity, how to find inspiration and how anyone can be creative. More importantly Dan talks about certain periods of his life that have been darker and more challenging and what he did to pull himself through. Dan shares some hilarious stories including working with Scott Alexander, fooling Penn and Teller, filming the Tarbell series and more.
