There are times when making a cardboard (or cardstock) 'mock-up" of a structure can be helpful in deciding the final size and shape of your model. These do not take very long to make and are often worth the effort. So, lets take a look at the process. The subject of this model is a small "Slate Cutter's Shed". I need several of these for my Bangor Slate Company Scene. The mock-up will let me decide if my guess at the dimensions of this small structure is fairly accurate, and also allow me to see how many of these shed will fit in my scene. I hope that you follow along. In the video I mention an article that I wrote many years ago on the use of these Mock-Ups. Here is a link to the Garden State Division (NMRA) website where the archive of past Newsletters (The WhistlePost) reside. If you click on the link, scroll down to 2010 and click on the Winter Issue to find my article: "Go Ahead, 'Mock' It Up!" on page 4 of that issue. Here is that link: https://www.nergsd.com/newsletter Enjoy!
