Armed, Black self-defense coalition rallies following sentencing of McMichaels & Willian Bryan

A coalition of Black self-defense groups held an armed rally outside the Glynn County Courthouse in Brunswick, Georgia after Travis McMichael, Greg McMichael, and William "Roddie" Bryan were sentenced to life in prison for the murder of Ahmaud Arbery. The group, which included the New Black Panther Party for Self-Defense, the United Black Power Militia, and the Panthers Movement called for unity among an ideologically diverse range of Black self-defense groups, and promised further action in 2022. In the short term, they say they will advocate for the men convicted of murdering Ahmaud Arbery to receive the death penalty in their federal criminal case.
