Research shows China’s Changbai Mountain range is an active volcano

British scientists have discovered that northeast China's Changbai Mountain range is an active volcano. Several British scientists visited the DPRK, set up a seismic station, and spent two years working on real-time observations on the southern fringe of the range. They acquired an image of the Earth's crust structure underneath the mountains, which led them to their conclusion. Research has also shown that the Changbai Mountain had the world's biggest eruption some 2,000 years ago.
