In January and February, West Windsor Arts and Art Against Racism presented Manifesting Beloved Community 2024. For this show we invited artists to visualize what it means to live in a community designed around social and economic justice. Artists explored the relationship of community health with regards to race and racism, looking both back to our history and forward to where we are going. West Windsor Arts was proud to have Leslie King-Hammond as the juror for this show. King-Hammond is an American artist, curator and art historian who is the Founding Director of the Center for Race and Culture at the Maryland Institute College of Art, where she is also Graduate Dean Emeritus. The show contained work by a diverse group of artists. The presentation of the art by the artists was recorded at the opening reception. Please watch the video to see images of all the work and hear from many of the artists in attendance.
