Every day, we work at the altar to cultivate our essences and basically, this is how a farmer goes to his farm every morning to work on the crops and such. Every day, there is a lot of work put into the altar to keep building up energy and cultivating the energy into essences, transforming them into useful resources that we can use for doing Taoist magic later on. Converting post-heaven energy back to pre-heaven energy is the main point of this morning practice, taking things from this world, and transforming them into the energy of another world/dimension, storing it up, and there go our new resources to use for magic work later on.
