Siddharth Varadarajan, founder of The Wire, speaks exclusively on Times Now on fake news allegations. The publication issued an apology earlier after its 'fake news' against BJP busted. It had blamed its reporter for 'fraud'. Yesterday, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) IT cell head Amit Malviya finally opened up about ‘The Wire’ controversy and said that he will initiate legal action against the media house for its reportage on the social media platform Meta. In a Twitter post, Malviya wrote that he will file a criminal as well as civil suit demanding damages from ‘The Wire’ which reported that Meta gave special privileges to BJP’s IT Cell Malviya to take down or interrupt posts against the ruling party. In a contentious article, which has now been taken down by The Wire, the media house claimed that Meta (earlier Facebook) provided chief of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Information Technology cell Amit Malviya special privileges that enable him to get posts removed from social media website Instagram. #SiddharthVaradarajan #fakenews #timesnow
