Get ready for the third thrilling instalment of my motorcycle adventure through Spain and Portugal! What started as a very rainy morning in a hotel just outside of Leon, Spain, eventually turned into a fantastic day of riding as the sun peeked through the clouds. Join me as I head south, leaving the motorway behind to discover the "Portuguese answer to Route 66" - the legendary N2! Experience the changing landscapes as I ride from Leon, through the Parque Natural de Montesinho just over the border, and into Portugal, finally arriving in the charming town of Chaves. Despite a few downpours and some seriously "crappy roads", the beautiful scenery, including stunning pine forests, more than makes up for it. Witness my first impressions of Portugal - noting its rustic charm and different feel compared to Spain.
