Zlaner sheds new light on the reason he was barred from competing in the Twitch Rivals $75,000 Warzone Showdown. When Zlaner first said that he was not allowed to play in the big Twitch Rivals Warzone events because of his Dr Disrespect cosplay during the last event, no one was sure if he was telling the truth or just joking. But now, Zlaner came forward just before joining up with his Warzone duo, Dr Disrespect, to break down the full reasons for being banned from the event. Zlaner says he was only told he would not be allowed to compete the day of the event, leaving his team of FaZe Kalei and Clutch Belk to scramble for a replacement at the last second. He also said that a Twitch staff member had simply messaged that “Zlaner is not eligible for Twitch Rivals today,” while another had tweeted the part of the rules saying a player must be in good standing with Twitch. Apparently cosplaying as Dr Disrespect, who is famously permanently banned from Twitch, irritated them so much that Zlaner was no longer in “good standing” with the platform, and got banned from playing in the event.
