When writing a paper or report in Google Docs, it's possible to cite your sources and create a bibliography. Google Docs provides two different ways to create and add citations automatically. Using the Citations and Explore tools, you can also format your sources according to the style guide of your choice, such as MLA, APA, or Chicago. The Explore tool allows you to search the web for sources from within Google Docs. Note that the Explore tool only works with online sources, and sources are cited as footnotes. The Citations tool can be used to generate a bibliography. You can also cite from various sources including books or magazines. With this feature, you have to type in the source information manually and complete all recommended fields to receive the correct formatting. 0:00 Intro 0:26 Creating citations using the citations tool 0:50 Adding in-text citation 1:05 Editing citation source 1:16 Inserting a bibliography 1:47 Using the explore tool 2:31 Pasting the source URL into the search bar 2:56 Formatting citations 3:06 Citing as a footnote We hope you enjoy!
