One of the earliest recordings of Chopin (Pabst, 1895) - Nocturne Op.62 no.2

In the 1890s, businessman Julius H. Block made a series of recordings on wax cylinders in Moscow. The recordings where though to be lost until the early 2000's when they where rediscovered and made into CD's. To today's standards, the recording quality is very poor, however the cylinders where well taken care of and sound much better than the famous 1889 Brahms recording.
