Weldon Boyd, a business owner in North Myrtle Beach, was named as a person involved in the shooting that happened on September 9, 2023. An Horry County Police Dept. incident report detailed the deadly shootout between two drivers. The report and the Horry County Coroner identified 33-year-old Scott Spivey as the suspect and the deceased.
