Arise, let us start building the cathedral. With profound joy and gladness that I thank everyone for gracing this occasion for my induction and installation as the Provost of Church of Christ the Healer Cathedral. Your prayers, and incredible messages of good will has held me all through to this day through God’s grace My warm appreciation to My Lord Bishop, the Right Rev Dr. Simon Onyango for your leadership and guidance. I recognize the effort and many hours invested by the leadership of the parish through the lay vice chairperson in ensuring the realization of this occasion. May the Lord reward your labor. To all guests from different parishes where I saved, and all my friends. We are indeed grateful for your sacrifice to witnesses of the Lords doings. To my family, both immediate and extended, thank you for holding my hand in this journey, you remain in my heart always. Dear members of Church of Christ the healer cathedral, induction and installation service is all about process of introduction in this great assignment as the work starts, as we pull together and stand in your midst to render Godly services to the people of this parish. This cannot take place without prudent planning and embracing the spirit of team work, one mind one purpose. In order to succeed, we must embrace four things as our working tools thus, the scripture, the constitutions, and the strategic plan. As we render our services to this parish, we will objectively look and follow keenly the six strategic objectives thus, 1. Spirituality 2. Governance, leadership and management 3. Partnership and networking 4. Community service 5. Investment, development and management 6. Environmental management and conservation. On spirituality, we will focus on nurturing the spiritual growth and well being of individuals within the community. It entails initiatives such as: Home church Fellowships (Estates/ cell groups) The forte of any church community is anchored on the strength of home fellowships. These fellowships nurture deeper connections, mutual support and spiritual growth from the grassroot level upwards. Promoting mission work. Mission work is essential for spreading the gospel of Christ and establishing new churches. Towards this effort, we will role out intensive evangelism and outreach programs. Ministry to the unreached. This is an introduction of a unique ministry dedicated to reach out to persons facing social challenges such as alcoholism in pursuit of inclusivity, compassion and transformation. Prayer and worship. We will cultivate a culture of prayer and worship, through prayer gatherings, worship services, and spiritual retreats.
