Welcome to the AKUBIZ YouTube channel My name is Robert and in this video I will show you how batteryparameters are changed in different temperatures from plus 19 degreesCelsius to minus 17 degrees Celsius. An example is a lead-acid battery with a liquid electrolyte with a capacity of 50 ampere hours and a starting current of 450 amps. These two batteries were produced in the 33rd week of 2020, it was 2 monthsago in Polish battery factory AUTOPART. We don't charge this battery before the test. The first battery will go to the freezer for 1 week, where it will stay for 7 days with the set temperature minus 22 degrees Celsius. The second battery will be checked at AKUBIZ LABO now. Inrush current will be measured with Midtronics tester The starting current declared by the manufacturer is 450 ampsAt12.59 volts and at + 19 degrees Celsius The tester estimated the inrush current of this battery to be 428 amps Now that we know the basic electrical parameters of this battery, I will check the reserve capacity of this battery. Using the ALPHABAT PRO capacity tester, the battery will be discharged with a current of 25 amps until a voltage of 10.5 volts is reached Taking into account the Peukert factor and temperature, I will be able to estimate the capacity of this battery according to the capacity ofC20. This battery, loaded with a current of 25 amps, discharges in 53 minutes, which is 70.62 % of the declared capacity. The estimated capacity based on this discharge is 35 Ampere hours I will now deal with the battery that has been in the freezer for a week, the freezing range has been set to minus 22 degrees Celsius The battery voltage, that has been in such an extremely low temperature is 12.34 volts And the Midtronics tester measured the battery temperature, which was mainus 17 degrees Celsius The inrush current measured by the tester was 300 amps per EN standard As before, using the ALFABAT PRO tester, I will check the reserve capacity of the frozen battery. ALFABATPRO tester takes into account the Peukert factor and temperature, as well as capacity declared when I connecting the battery to discharger After discharge, using current 25 amps, this battery achieve discharge time 35 minutes Based on this, I estimated the capacity of this battery at 22 ampere hours. The battery in the freezer has a capacity of 40% less than that in the room temperature. The inrush current dropped 30% in the battery which was in freezer I hope you like this movie leave a thumbs up and don't forget subscribe AKUBIZ channel, It is important to the Creators because we know that viewers want to watch our movies. Thank you for your attention, I greet you from Poland. See you in the next episode. best regards Robert Mazurek @AKUBIZ #CarBatteryTest #AKUBIZ #BatteryInFreezer #mrAkumulator #RobertMazurek #ŚwiatAkumulatorów
