I bought family dollar deodorant bar soap and saw it was comparable to Irish Spring OG. So I decided to see if it really was. The color was different. The generic bar was darker. The smell was also not even comparable. The generic bar smelled only like soap. Not like Irish Spring at all. Finally the lather wasn't even comparable. All in all, I'd have to say there was really no comparison between these bar soaps at all. I definitely prefer Irish Spring. It lathers much better. The only thing the generic bar would be good for is soaking and making a soaked soap vid out of it since it seems to absorb water fast. At the end, I decided a mini grout squeezing was appropriate.
