Presented by: Christopher Hall Providing equitable access to high quality arts instruction is a crucial component to every inclusive art studio. Using Universal Design for Learning to proactively remove barriers of access is a great way to ensure equitable access in the studio, but how can we take this learning strategy and apply it to our professional practice in meaningful and practical ways? This professional practice session will introduce a powerful method of using differentiation to create flexible and varied access points designed to provide every learner in your studio with an entry point for every project you design. For inclusion to truly flourish in your studio, each learner needs to be engaged at their level, in their own way, and provided with the opportunity to express themselves in their preferred method. This presentation asks participants to critically reflect and examine our professional practices and create meaningful and equitable access to our curriculum.
