Debate Mate x Comic Relief Grand Final | Red Nose Day 2025

Last week, six inspiring students took the stage for a debate at No. 10 Downing Street, hosted by Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, as part of Comic Relief and Debate Mate's 2025 competition. The students, from Cardinal Heenan High School in Liverpool and Sacred Heart School in London, debated the motion: “This house believes that youth leadership is the best way to tackle the world’s most pressing issues” and were joined by judging panel Deborah Meaden, DJ Cuppy and Jaz Singh. The event, in the lead up to Red Nose Day, was an empowering moment for these young voices to engage in serious global issues, proving that youth leadership is a force for change.
