Culp Valley Primitive Campground (33.22477, -116.45516) is located within Anza-Borrego State Park and offers a peaceful escape into the heart of the desert, with incredible panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Culp Valley’s serenity and natural beauty are the perfect backdrop for stargazing, desert hikes, and unplugging from the daily grind. Things to note about the campground: No trash cans are available in the campgrounds so pack it out and follow no trace behind. Vault toilets are available. No service for T mobile. Campsites are free, first come first serve. Fire rings are available at each campsite. No picnic tables. Nearby attractions: For those interested in OFF ROADING, it's about a 30 minute drive to Fonts Point where you'll navigate through winding dirt roads which ultimately lead to this incredible vantage point. Fonts Point is known for its jaw-dropping panoramic views of the Borrego Badlands and valleys nearby. To access Fonts Point you must have 4WD. Whether you're hiking, off-roading, or just soaking in the views, Fonts Point is the perfect place to connect with the desert and experience the vast, serene landscape that defines Anza-Borrego. For my ART LOVERS, the campsite is about a 17 minute drive to Borrego Springs, CA where you will find unique metal sculptures of ancient creatures like dinosaurs, mammoths and sabertooths throughout the city. These incredible sculptures are a striking contrast against the vast desert backdrop, making them a must-see for art lovers and nature enthusiasts. Christmas Circle Community Park is located within Borrego Springs and does have PUBLIC RESTROOMS with RUNNING WATER where you'll also get cellphone service with T mobile.
