As nations compete for gold and silver in the Winter Olympics, the stock market has been more of a slalom than a sprint. December consumer retail sales, job openings, and private payrolls have all missed the podium, weighing on overall performance. Precious metals have also inched lower over the past week as inflationary pressures show signs of easing. Even so, many market participants still expect at least two additional interest rate cuts in 2026—fuel for the next leg of a potential bull run. On the ground, buyers and sellers of physical precious metals are running into something else: delays. Extreme price swings and record trading volumes have created bottlenecks throughout the supply chain, stretching processing times. It remains an excellent moment to participate in this bull market—but doing so now simply requires a bit more patience. With gold and silver in the spotlight, bad actors are also seizing the moment—flooding the internet with hype, half-truths, and outright misinformation. The real question in today’s market isn’t just what to buy… it’s who you can trust to guide you through it. Got a burning question for Rich?
