The two American military jet teams, the USAF Thunderbirds and U.S. Navy Blue Angels, flew together over New York, Philadelphia, and parts of New Jersey on 28 April 2020. The joint effort was a flyover salute to COVID-19 healthcare workers. The jet teams fly regularly to maintain the razor-sharp skills they need; what better way to use their flying time than by bringing a bit of their stylish art to the public at a time when the public can't go to an air show?
