Hey guys back with another Warhammer 40k review We got the wave 3 Necron Flayed one. This version of the Necron is infected with the hunger for flesh, being a robot who cant eat or drink, they do the next best thing, wear it as clothing! Flayed ones are infected versions of Necrons, twisted by the need for flesh. Flayed ones hands often transform into long bladed fingers, with a claw like appearance. Making things worse, these infected can also teleport to, and out of their own pocket dimension, showing up unannounced into battles just to scavenge more flesh from their victims. Not even the Necron race accepts them, if a Necron is detected to be infected, they are immediately destroyed, or banished before they can spread it to anyone else in the army. Overall a great figure, the lack of accessories does suck, for some reason we get a spine piece in the box to attach to the back, but i assume that was to save on box space. We do get the standard McFarlane stand with the figure as well. Too bad it didn't come with any fleshy bits or pieces as accessories. The paint on the figure is another topic that bugs me. The flesh looks factory new, theirs no blood or anything to make it look used or raw. Looking closer with my camera in my review, you can actually see a attempt at some sort of blood effect on the flesh, its just so light, that you cant even notice it with the eye. The blood wash is so light, i wonder why they even bothered to put it their in the first place! But to wrap it up, the Necron Flayed one from McFarlane toys is a great purchase. Definitely stands out from your other Warhammer figures, and even as a stand alone horror figure, it looks good. There is a alternate Platinum edition out of this figure, like the battle sister, except the Platinum Flayed one comes with a different arrangement of flesh over the armor.
