Here is my unboxing and review video of the Hornby R9292 Henry the Green Engine from the Thomas and Friends range of OO gauge model trains that Hornby will have in their range of model trains until the end of 2018 as this year 2018 will be the final year that Hornby will be making the Thomas and Friends range of model trains and rolling stock sadly. The Henry model steam engine from Hornby is based on the Class 5MT (or Black 5) and carries the number 3 on the tender as per Henry in the TV series. The steam locomotive model is locomotive-driven with additional pickups in the tender and the model is DCC ready complete with an 8 pin input. The Henry model performs well and the model is a very nice and smooth runner and he can haul the short test train with ease. This model train is the post-2015 model that Hornby released in 2016 and Henry is painted this time into the correct shade of green as he would have been seen in the TV episodes that I remember seeing in the 1980's as I have not seen the later CGI shows of Thomas and friends. The model is presented in the colourful and stylish revised packaging with the clear plastic inlays that does make handling the model train easier in my opinion. Overall a very nice model from Hornby and one to consider getting if you collect these model trains like I am doing :). A Transport & Simulation Hub Video Production.
