On March 25th, from 3-5pm, we invited students, staff, partners and industry to our Research Showcase Event at the School of Engineering, Trinity College Dublin. This event marked the launch of our new Research Strategy, highlighting our commitment to fostering innovation and driving impact. The event featured presentations from researchers working across the research fields of our School, and showcased innovative projects from our School’s research centres. One such research group is STAM - Science & Technology in Advanced Manufacturing Discipline of of Mechanical, Manufacturing & Biomedical Engineering at Trinity's School of Engineering. In this video Dr Moyin Otubela, a Research Fellow in the STAM group and Prof Rocco Lupoi, the Director of the STAM group, share a snapshot of their research which focuses mainly on the development of next generation additive manufacturing technologies and advanced manufacturing technologies. In particular Prof Lupoi shares some research projects the STAM team are working on, with topics like: Bridging the gap between advanced manufacturing technologies and sustainability Thermodust: A future thermal management solution funded by the European Union and European Innovation Council Made Cold: A new solid-state deposition additive manufacturing process funded by the European Innovation Council Find out more: https://www.tcd.ie/mecheng/research/s...
