Fires, pileups and a dancing James Licquorice in this one feature in a sombre night at Kings Lynn's Adrian Flux Arena. To start, the number 1 thing not to forget when filming Motorsport is your video cameras, so a trip to Kings Lynn for the first time in about 5 years was somewhat hampered by the glaring omission of half of my equipment! Shows how long I've been out of the seat or maybe its just age, so apologies for the out of focus moments, the camera I was using is one of the many totally broken ones. Having not seen a banger meeting in 12 months, November being a total write off due to MOT issues and everything in December being cancelled due to weather (there was supposed to be a Karting video last week), I decided to give the Kings Lynn Nutcracker meeting a visit, one sadly greatly impacted by the shock passing of Mr Trackstar himself, Paul Butler. A great night in tribute to the man by the Unlimited and 1600cc bangers, some star cars from #1 Maai, Maarten Steenbekkers in the Oldsmobile Cutlass hearse, a brief appearance from #171 Andy Frost’s Cadillac de Ville, the Lincoln Town Car limo for #335 Lee White, a MK2 Ford Granada Estate of #188 John Reeves, and a range of Mercedes & Jaguars. The Nutcracker crown eventually would go the way of #199 Shaydy Gough in the end, #331 Mackenzie Whitehead would be the the winner of the unlimited 25 and unders championship of Great Britain, and the 2024 1600cc National Championship race was taken by #608 Lenny Murkin.
