This 10-year-old boy had a long cardiac journey. 👇👇👇 Pulmonary atresia with VSD, followed by a BT shunt, and at 10 months a Contegra conduit placement with VSD closure. Over time, he developed severe RVOT stenosis and regurgitation, with massive right ventricular dilation and an ejection fraction of just 10%. The team planned a percutaneous valve-in-conduit procedure: ✴ Simultaneous balloon dilatation of both branch pulmonary arteries and the bifurcation ✴ Pressure gradient monitoring after each step ✴ Insertion of a SAPIEN 3 valve into the degenerated Contegra tube The final result? No regurgitation, and RV pressure significantly reduced to ~60% of systemic. 🔒 Advanced interventional cardiology case – educational content only. 👨⚕️ By courtesy of Dr. Ali Houeijeh @ Pediatric and Congenital Cardiac Catheterization - Pediatric Cardiology Service, Heart and Lung Institute, CHRU Lille, France. 📌 Vea is not CE-certified and not FDA-approved.
