Hi, friends. Here's a new cover reconstruction. Here is Brass In Pocket - The Pretenders (1979) featuring my friend and uber-talented vocalist, Heidi Singleton. I absolutely love this song and so happy we were able to do this one together. A little history – Brass in Pocket was the 3rd single released on the Pretenders debut album. The song pushed Chrissie Hynde and her band into the spotlight as the song quickly reached #1 in the UK and #14 in the US. The Pretenders have a unique sound, blending new wave, punk and R&B into their performances and sharing the 80s genre with the likes of Blondie, Talking Heads, Siouxsie and the Banshees, and more. All guitars are in standard tuning, but the bass is tuned down a full step, which helps give the song a powerful drive and bounce. Enjoy and let us know your thoughts in the comments!
