However, after overnight rain the river had risen, cooled and was carrying some colour. Euro Nymphing was therefore the best choice. Additionally, due to a very cold Spring, the River still hadn't woken up properly and a strong cold easterly wind blowing downstream meant that the fish were keeping their heads down.
