The first step of adding Minecraft Maps to 1.16.3 is downloading some custom Minecraft maps. Luckily, we have a complete list of 1.16.3 maps for Minecraft in the description above. All of the maps on this list are updated to 1.16+, and will work great in 1.16.3. When you find a map, click the green ‘download’ button under it to be taken to the map’s download page. Once you are there, click the download button on this page, and the map will download. Every maps download process is a bit different though, so be prepared for that. After you have your Minecraft map downloaded, we need to get it ready to be installed. In order to do this, right click on the map you download, click on ‘extract’, and the click ‘extract’ in the bottom right of the menu that pops up. There will be a new folder that appears on your desktop. Open this folder, and keep clicking through folders until you see ‘DIM1’, ‘DIM-1’, etc. When you see these folders, click back one folder, and drag that folder to your desktop. You can now delete everything but the folder you just dragged to your desktop. The folder you just dragged to your desktop is your 1.16.3 Minecraft map. Now, we can learn how to install a Minecraft Map in Minecraft 1.16.3. To do this, hit the windows key on your keyboard and ‘r’ at the exact same time. This will open up the ‘Run’ application. In this application, type ‘%appdata%’, and hit enter. That will open your roaming folder. Now, click the ‘.minecraft’ folder. In this folder, you should see a ‘saves’ folder. Open that folder, and you will see all of your Minecraft maps. In order to install a map in Minecraft 1.16.3, just drag-and-drop the map folder from your desktop into this saves folder. You have now installed a map in Minecraft PC 1.16.3. However, just to confirm, make sure that when you open the map folder you installed you see the ‘DIM1’ folder. If you do, you are good to go! If not, go back to the process above to fix that. At this point, all you need to do in order to play a custom Minecraft Map in 1.16.3 is open up Minecraft and click on single player. Your map will be here. You may get a warning when you first play the map to update it. This is perfectly fine as long as the map was for any 1.16 version. Congratulations!
