Hip-Hop was at an interesting stage in the UK in 1993. There was a lot of local scenes bubbling in cities like London, Manchester, and Bristol, and some big groups like Brotherhood and Gunshot releasing albums. That said, there were still people rhyming in American accents, and the scene hadn't found the strength in identity and momentum that would be evident by the end of the 1990s. And then through all that, we had Rodney and Bionic dropping occasional gems like this one as the London Posse. And from the chorus to everyone in the video, this was a huge EP for us in the UK.
